The most nibbled on photographer in Missoula?
Being a pet photographer comes with some occupational hazards.
Scratched equipment. Slobber. Half-baked ideas like lying in the landing zone of an airborne bulldog, to get that perfect wide-angle shot.
But, the job also comes with fantastic perks. I have more dog-hugging opportunities than the average accountant; athleisure wear is totally legitimate in this line of work; and, I get to engage with you - people head over heels for their animals, and business owners passionate about serving the pet community.
A Montanan since 1999, I was thrilled to return to Missoula this spring after spending three years in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Asheville, North Carolina. There’s just no place like home! Even so, I love disappearing with my vintage Airstream trailer, an old-school paper map, a bike and a stack of crossword puzzles for entertainment. I’m a big fan of analog living, which might explain why I’m so passionate about creating tangible artwork for my photography clients, rather than letting those photos languish on some forgotten hard drive. It’s a truism that dogs understand well: Simple pleasures are the very best kind.
